Welcome

Christian based private education

Based in Midrand, Johannesburg, established in 1981.

Your family school

The Valley School was established in 1981 offering tuition to children in the community aged between 2 and 6 years of age.
The Valley School is an independent, co-educational community-based School situated in the residential area of Vorna Valley and was amongst the first registered schools in the Midrand area.

In 2010 we applied to the Education Department for registration as a Preparatory School and subsequently also obtained membership with ISASA (Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa). The Pre-Primary and Aftercare facilities have been registered with the Department of Social Services since 1981.

Our purpose at The Valley School has always been to create an environment of excellence, to be aware of international trends and give each child the very best opportunities possible order to develop fully in all areas.

The Staff at The Valley School do all that is possible to carefully plan an environment where the child can realise his / her full potential and thus make the best possible use of his / her life. An atmosphere is created that encourages responsibility, self-discipline and co-operation in the group, social interaction and a positive self-image.

Building confident and well-balanced individuals.
The children are encouraged to pursue a wide scope of learning activities designed to fit their own needs and interests. They are led to develop the necessary insights, appreciation and skills required for a lifetime of learning, as patterns laid down in early childhood produce responsible, creative and competent learners with critical thinking skills. A balance is constantly maintained by providing a vigorous play environment.

Our School Motto “WE WILL SHINE” encompasses all that we desire for our children, that they will make a difference in all that they do, with skills that will equip them for life in an ever-changing world.
